​Katie began her dance training at the age of nine at a local dance studio in Brooklyn. She trained with Beyond Dance in various styles and received the L.E.A. Scholarship award in 2006. Her passion for dance continued throughout college, where she worked as the lead choreographer for SUNY Cortland’s Dance Company. She is currently a kindergarten and first grade teacher at P.S. 264 Bay Ridge Elementary School for the Arts. She is thrilled to share her love of dance with the students in her school as the lead choreographer for the Drama Department. She has worked with the P.S. 264 Drama Department on their Lovewell Institute musicals as well as the Disney productions of the Lion King, Jungle Book and Cinderella. Katie is lucky to work alongside the amazing staff of Beyond Dance while continuing and furthering her own dance training as a student. She has taught jazz, contemporary and technique.
